I'm running Ableton Live 10 on Windows 10 AMD RySix-Core Processor 3.20 GHz with 16gb installed RAM, 64-bit. I can import stuff that's 50-85 mb the same exact way with no problem, and I can play the MP3 files with VLC and Windows Media Player without issue also. I thought 300mb was within the size limit for Ableton audio imports (2 gigs max I think?) but I can't keep it from crashing. The files were originally 4.5gig AIFF files (recorded from Serato DJ) but I converted them using a paid online converter into MP3s, and they are about 300 MB now. I have been trying to import some big audio files into Ableton so I can chop them up and send parts to clients, but every time I try to load the file, Ableton crashes.
